Monday, the un-pictorial

Because we were busy. ;-)

Tortilla soup and flautas, a sandwich with our sprouts from the window, and pinto beans with cornbread.

Saturday -- Day off!

Breakfast at Dos Salsas. (Yes, the same.)

Lunch was a quick taco at Taco Cabana (actually 2 quick crunchy tacos) as we ran around like fiends.

This was supper:

What it is?

I don't know. I invented it. I made gluten free pizza rolls to the freezers and there was a ton of filling left over. So I hollowed out a gluten free baguette, filled it and popped it in the oven for 15 minutes at 375.

Quick and easy supper for the over-shopped.

Friday -- Stupid Technology

Well, we didn't have breakfast, but I did make a couple of amazing chicken and bacon subs that have pictures that disappeared, along with the photos of the chicken lettuce wraps from Mama Fu's...

Stupid technology.

Thursday! Tortillas!

So, we eat at the Cafe Java every Thursday. J has the western omelet, I have bacon, hash browns and fruitl

And coffee.

We grabbed a quick lunch at the Longhorn Steakhouse -- petit sirloins and mashed potatoes. Simple, but nummy.

I have been working on a decent flour tortilla recipe for years and I found one that I tweaked and tweaked and finally, bingo.

So I made Mom's enchiladas (beef and beans spiced up and then cheesed).

So. Good.

Writing Wednesday

We ran to the Cianfrani coffee shop to work this morning. Had a coffee called an Albino Turtle -- it was too sweet, I didn't finish it, but we did stop and get bacon cheese burgers and fries for lunch.

Then supper was oven hashbrowns, bacon and eggs. IOW, Breakfast for Supper!

Monday, Monday

La la. La la la.

Breakfast was eggs and sourdough (from my sourdough bread I made last night).

Lunch was a baked potato and salad.

Supper was green chile beef stew from the Crock Pot because today was busy, busy and we needed something simple. I add some shredded cheddar, some sour cream, and NOM NOM NOM.

Sunday at home

IMG 0922

Bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit salad. :D

IMG 0923

Hot dog with mustard and cheese on a gf bun.

IMG 0927

Supper was supposed to be artichoke stuffed chicken. Totally didn't work. :P So, we put all the things we were going to put into the chicken and sides, sautéed them, and put them over pasta. :D Feta cheese, broccolini, spinach, bacon, black olives, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, white wine. Yum.

Also, I made gf popovers. :D

Pizza and Pizookies!

So, this is our first post here.

What's my goal? I'd like to keep track for a year of what we eat -- Julia and I cook a lot, eat a lot, and travel. What a fun way to remember all the stuff we enjoy/experiment with? Also, I love making cocktails, so we're going to be exploring that a little bit more, just to see what happens.

Today was super-duper busy -- the Christmas parade and art fair was this morning, we had to run errands (groceries and dog food).

So, food.

We had breakfast at Dos Salsas -- Julia had migas and I had my favorite breakfast: bacon, beans and potatoes. Then we headed downtown and had an iced coffee.

For lunch, we shared a gluten free Pizooki from BJ's Brewhouse, and then supper was a quick pepperoni pizza and garlic flatbread that Julia put together.

My late night snack is going to be... I'm shooting for Fritos with melted cheese and salsa. ;-)

We'll see how that goes. ;-)

Much love, y'all.
